Festivalize

It is pretty cool to be in NYC on the 4th of July.  Unfortunately I had to work during the day, but we were a quick trip away from the infamous hot dog eating contest at Coney Island!  There are all sorts of things to do and see... and I mean, Liberty Island is right here.  How patriotic can you get?
We were able to go and see Macy's fireworks show in Manhattan at night.  It is supposedly the biggest show in the country.  (With Idaho Falls' show being a close runner up, Cody keeps reminding me...)   We went early and got a decent seat.  It wasn't parallel with the show, but it was a good view.  And it was a spectacular show.  So many BIG fireworks, and so MANY of them!

You couldn't ask for a more perfect night as far as the weather goes.  Here is a beautiful picture of the sunset that Cody snapped.

Well I do have one piece of good news to leave with you... Cody has informed me that, "Pyeong-chang, Korea won the bid to host the 2018 Winter Olympics!"  So there ya go!
